The easy thing to remember is that Donnelly Energy is a contractor for both categories of PSE&G’s Direct Install, and it’s our job to help navigate you into the right rendition of this energy efficiency program.

With that said, let’s break down the program nuances for you!

ABOUT SMALL BUSINESS DIRECT INSTALL  (SBDI)

The first category encompasses PSE&G’s small-to-mid level sized commercial customers (think businesses only), and is referred to as the “Small Business Direct Install” program or SBDI for short.

  • This program is for any PSE&G commercially-metered business customer that is not located in an Urban Enterprise Zone
  • Businesses can choose which trade ally they work with from a list of pre-approved contractors (aka the “open network”). You can find a trade ally online at bizsave.pseg.com/home/find-a-trade-ally
  • Donnelly Energy happens to be an open network trade ally for this program category, meaning that we can work with any PSE&G business customer up and down the  Garden State, as long as they don’t fall in the “closed network” category.

ABOUT DIRECT INSTALL

PSE&G’s Direct Install program (or what we often refer to as the UEZ or “closed network”) exclusively offers higher incentives for non-profits, local government, K-12 public schools, and businesses within Urban Enterprise Zones.

  • Same eligible energy efficiency upgrades as SBDI
  • Non-profits, local government, k-12 public schools, and businesses in Urban Enterprise Zone cities receive a higher incentive
  • Each county has an assigned and exclusive PSE&G authorized contractor who is the only entity that can manage the Direct Install program on behalf of the customers in the above-mentioned sectors
  • Donnelly Energy is an authorized contractor for this Direct Install category, assigned to exclusively cover: Passaic, Morris, Hunterdon, Middlesex, Monmouth, Gloucester, and Burlington counties
